Hello! Am in Norfolk for a couple of days & then it’s back home & straight back to work. Went to one of my all time favourite shops today with my mum, Sew Simple in Taversham. What an awesome place! Fabric everywhere… I bought a very cute cowboy themed piece, I’ll post a pic when I’m back home. I also bought some pink fluffy fabric with which I attend to make small furry creatures… I was very well behaved, I also bought some brads as I’m thinking of making movable paper dolls, & a pair of silver-coloured rings. My bill was under £10, yay!

I also hit all 3 of Swaffhams charity shops today & managed to pick up… a huge hardback about costumes, another one which was a fully illustrated Enid Blyton book, the pics are gorgeous, so vibrant!  A mini book full of poems about the seasons which I will use for an altered art attempt… 4 vintage pattern packs, 3 tiny wall plates – German made China, featuring baskets of flowers, very sweet… an entire crockery set (6 plates, 6 side plates, 6 cups & saucers, 5 bowls, retro brown 70’s style) for £5!!!! & a small 3-piece photo frame for 75 pence. Bargains galore! Charity shops up here are sooooo much cheaper than Oxford. I also got a lovely pair of Wellingtons today that my mum bought me. Pics to follow I promise!!!

The lovely Lou is the winner of Rosie The Rockabilly Raindrop so keep an eye out for the post!!

Catch up with you soon xoxoxoxox

What an amazing book! Have you read it yet? If you haven’t, you should! It’s a real eye opener.

Barbara Kingsolver, the author, & her family not only ate local but also grew/reared their own food for a year. Its not something everybody can go off & do in practice but eating local really is something people are starting to think about. Barbara’s writing style is quite witty & there are some interesting facts in there.. did you know that Turkeys these days are incapable of breeding all by themselves? Me neither!

No nookie for these guys!

Thats where ive been for the last few days, stuck inside the book! Ive finished it now though so it’s back to Harry Potter & the real world 🙂

I’m working on a gorgeous embroidery piece with the threads I won from Cymberrain which i’ll show you when it’s done & I got some fabric through in a trade with Erin

Haven’t decided quite what to make with it yet…

Gotta go we have to go out & buy food shopping!

Todays post is all about… fabric…

When I started making jewellery about a year ago it was probably how most beginners start off, with some beads & some black cord. Then I discovered jewellery findings & I got a little bit more advanced. One day I found etsy… & felt beads. And felt nubbles. And gorgeous yarns. And a full blown fabric love affair was born.

I started to make fabric jewellery. I fell in love with the felt beads & used them everywhere possible. Then I started to combine regular felt, felt beads & yarn for some scrumptious creations. Next I decided to try needlefelting which then led to some brooches being created…

Not long after I found a shop that sells curtain fabric & another that sells bags of fabric scraps so I made a monster and then another and then another & now I can’t stop!

I’m not the only one addicted to fabric…
